Giuseppe Costa

Born in 1982, Giuseppe Costa graduated at Trapani training insitute and left his Siciliy quiet soon to start his professional career. After several aboad experiences, he came back to Italy to work at Marennà, together with Heinz Beck, and then in Amalfi, at Rosselinis, with chef Pino Lavarra. A short stop in Trento, at Scrigno del Duomo with Alfredo Chiocchetti before arriving in Milan, at Carlo Cracco. In this period he started thinking to create his own restaurant in Sicily and in 2008 he opened Il Bavaglino at Terrasini, near Palermo. In 2009, he won the award as Rising Chef of South Italy and in 2014 he obtained the Michelin Star.
