The publishing house

Trenta Editore is a cultural centre founded by Barbara Carbone and dedicated to food knowledge in all its shape, in order to spread with quality, curiosity and innovation the great emotion which the art of cooking is able to create. Trenta Editore is like a big table where you can share thoughts, words and people.

It was founded in 2004 and its first publication, Gli Chef del Vino, marked the beginning of its trajectory as important publishers of books on food.

Since then it has released books on original subjects for food-lovers of all kinds. Its catalogue consists of different series: illustrated on cuisine, cookbooks, novels, books for children and books on health themes.

The aim of Trenta Editore is to get involved a very large target of people, trying to satisfy different demands and interests with new editorial projects.

Barbara Carbone

Ceo of Trenta Edirore is Barbara Carbone, journalist and author of many cookbooks before founding her publishing house. Proud of her Neapolitan origins, she has always been enthusiastic of food and wine, from everywhere in the world.

Good food let people meet, get excited, inspire new ideas; in other words, give you a smile when you least expect it“.

Graduate in Letter, with a Master in Business economics, she established the Company in 2004; since 2010 she is council member of Gruppo Editoria e Comunicazione of Assolombarda (Confindustria).

In 2009, Trenta Editore launched a new cultural project: FOOL Art.Design.Food.

Dedicated to Contemporary Art, Design and Food, the aim of the magazine is to talk about Italian and international entrepreneurial ventures as chances of business.

Where you may find our books

Trenta Editore’s books may be acquired in all Mondadori stores: 600 bookshops all over Italy.

With three different format, for different demands – Mondadori Megastore when you enter very big spaces; Mondadori Bookstore for bookshops and Mondadori Point for kiosk – and four sales channels (direct and franchising bookshops, e-commerce and bookclub), every year the Group serves more than 20 milions of clients.

Her blog, www.iocomesono-pippi.blogspot.it is one of the most read among the specialists and common people. She works for many magazine sas A Tavola and for some companies. Renato Marcialis had a great influence on her.

Mariapaola Bossini was born in Brescia (Lombardy, Italy) and she has been living there for 19 years. Then she moved to Milan to become a journalist. After her degree in Communication at Università Cattolica (Milan) and an stage experience in Vogue, in 2011 she became editorial coordinator in Trenta Editore; here she began to love another kind of job, graphic design.

Leonardo Cairo studied Architecture in Milan (Italy). While student, he attended a stage at Johnny Ricci photography atelier: his passion for photos started here, observing the wonderful images realized by Robert Doisneau, Atget, Brassai and Henry Cartier Bresson.

Graphic and web designer with a passion for logo design, Laura is in charge of editorial projects, branding, adv and web design. After spending 15 years in a company, she decided to create her own agency in Este (Veneto, Italy). She is a creative person who loves well done things, captivating and exciting projects, but she is also a mother able to learn everyday something new from her child.

Cristina Franceschini studied Graphic Design at l’Istituto Arte & Messaggio in Milan (Italy). She works on her own as graphic and web designer since 2000 for advertising agencies, beauty & fashion companies; she is able to plan everything, from the idea to the final product. She loves her job and studies for each project the right solution to have a great result, working in team, if necessary.

He worked, with his son Matteo, for many food magazines and curated the images of the majority of the books of the famous patissier Iginio Massari; one of his book, Cresci, was prize winning worldwide. He also works for many architectural magazines, above all the Frech-Italian Images. He sketched important celebrities in their professional ambient for Profili magazine. For Trenta Editore he realized all the photos of Vito Mollica. Invito a cena al Palagio di Firenze.

Paolo and Sara, nom de plume Fico e Uva, their blog, share their time between a work in bank and a job as parents. Very fond of cuisine, they love testing new recipes, catching every dish into a photo. Exactly as their blog which starts with a recipe and its photo! For Trenta Editore they wrote Funny Plates. Ricette per mamme moderne and C’è Torta per te 2 (as co-authors).

MADDALENA BALDINI

Born in Tuscany, in the area of Lunigiana, Maddalena Baldini lives in Milan since 2000. She studied Storia dell’Arte and journalism, but she succeded in matching her studies with a passion for food. She work sas contributor for many magazines, organizes food events and coordinates the editorial production for Trenta Editore.
She also wrote a book for Trenta Editore Assaggi di grappa. Per conoscerla sceglierla e abbinarla.

SILVIA BARACCHI

SILVIA BARACCHI

Born in Perugia, Silvia Regi Baracchi grew up in Cortona and proudly calls herself Etruscan. From her restaurateur family she inherited e love for fine dining, an awareness of tradition, and the art of hospitality. The exciting energy of the Falconiere inspires her culinary style on a daily basis.
Silvia has a vast range of culinary experiences and has worked with famous chefs who have given her the opportunity to introduce the cuisine of Cortona around the world. She has collaborated for many years now with Executive Chef Richard Titi, who shares her approach and philosophy. For Silvia, consistency is one of the most important values, equivalent to exceptional ingredients, cooking methods that exult Tuscan flavors, and a balance between presentation and quality that triggers the curiosity of the most expert diner while also satisfying those who appreciate simplicity. Rosso di gusto. Passioni in cucina, is her first book.

PAOLO BARICHELLA

PAOLO BARICHELLA

Industrial Designer well known for his career in food projects, Paolo Barichella founded Food Design Studio in 2002 and began many international partnerships. He created many innovative food projects and today works as food manager and food advisor on Stategic Design Management, Sensory Design, Concept Creation of Lifestyles and Experience. He created many courses on Food Design for Politecnico of Milan, for Istituto Europeo di Design, for Bocconi University and IULM. He wrote for many important magazines, he was involved in many contest as judge and in many international conferences as moderator.
He was the author of Manifesto ADI of Food Design in 2006, and among those who wrote the book Le Ricette dei Designer 1 e 2 selected for Premio Bancarella della Cucina 2010. La cucina efficace. Prepara, conserva e porta in tavola usando il… cm³ is his first experience with Trenta Editore.

PAOLO BODON

PAOLO BODON

A very creative chef, born near Mantova but who chose to live in the area of Brescia. Here he manages Capoborgo restaurant in Gavardo (BS, Italy) with his wife.
He has a great passion for cooking and, above all, for raw materials and ancient traditions, elements he brought always overseas. He wrote two books for Trenta Editore, Stasera cucino con papà and Paolo Bodon. Uno chef in viaggio tra gusti e territori.
